Ultimately it requires a total change of attitude to work, money, employment. Finally expectations of entitlement. That may only come from the next generation. Not those currently intent on protecting their own interests.
I am absolutely convinced that if the UK can make it possible for a young working man/woman to own a little bit of land with his home sat on it, where his wage will cover his costs rather than forever re mortgaging or taking out endless loans, then a lot of the social ills of this country would be wiped out over night.
Average priced property for the UK...... £75k0 -
Think globally. Workers in the industrial areas of China are receiving wage rises of 23%. This only lifts them to a monthly wage of £100 - £120.

So therefore are production costs.
As a manufacturer where you would build your new facility.

I'm of the older generation ... and I have bought all mine on CC's ... but, being of the older set, that bill will be paid off in full, as always, at the earliest opportunity.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

Labour counts as production costs though.
I don't think it would cost overly much extra to ship the raw materials to the UK as it would the Philippines or China, but the extra wages that a British worker would want would make the whole thing uneconomical - understandably so from the perspective of the manufacturer.0 -
