What was the minimum national insurance contributions in 2004/5 in order to get a qualifying year? I have had a letter about making a voluntary contribution and I just want to make sure their sums are right
Thanks

I need to know about this as well- this year I think that it's £5030 as an allowance but I'm not sure.0

From what I can find, the minimum amount you have to be paid (this year) is £4368. 11% of this is £480.48. But if I take off what I've already paid, I get less then they are suggesting I should pay. Plus I'm sure it would have been less than £4368 two years ago. I must be missing something

I would give them a call about national insurance contributions and ask why you owe it. I had this late last year. They were very helpful gave me dates that NI wasn't paid.
Found out 6 week NI had not been paid, I think a company I worked for had not paid NI.0
