Rose Gold Shaped Wedding Band - Help!

Options
Hello All,

A few weeks ago now, I posted to say i'd lost my engagement ring. Well, fast forward and the insurance gave us the money we'd paid for the ring and fortunately, I now have another which is similar but in rose gold.

Now, i'm finding it VERY difficult to find a shaped rose gold wedding band. Ideally, I'd like to find one on the High St so I can try it together with my engagement ring which is a marquise cut but not a very high setting, which seems to be the sticking point.

Can anyone advise me of a jewellers to try? I've done lots of googling but don't seem to be getting anywhere fast!

Also, does anyone have any experience of using goldsmiths? Do they do special orders as such? [I've been saving tesco vouchers and would ideally like to use them for my wedding band!]

Thanks,
Alipops

  • Hi

Ive just had a google for you and it does seem to be hard to find shaped rose gold. I have come across this website though- and at the bottom is says they can offer advice and sent out samples for you to try. Price depends on whether you have to get 9k or 18k. They seem to have lots of different shapes.

I got my wedding ring from goldsmiths but not sure if they do special orders- you may have to pop in and ask.

We have just ordered our wedding rings from Forever Wedding rings and they are making mine to fit my engagement ring. They come to your house with loads of samples so its easy to do. After we made our order I had a change of mind as to what I wanted and got in touch the next morning they were really helpful and changed the order to what I wanted. They also did a CAD for me so I could see exactly what it would look like. I was very happy and can't wait for them to arrive.

If you are looking for somewhere on the high street there are some shaped rings at HSamuel

ok...just an idea to consider if you dont mind using old gold...

Why not ask a jeweller about scrap rose gold or possibly buy a second hand ring from the likes of ebay...you can probably pick one up around £100 and then have the rose gold remodelled into the shaped ring that will fit your engagement ring...

The gold is the expensive bit of the ring so if you are able to source something at a reasonable cost it shouldnt cost you that much to get it remodelled into something bespoke...
If you approach a jeweller before you buy a ring to guage how much it will cost and for him to give you an estimate of how much gold you need for your requirement then you could end up with a very beautiful hand made personal desigh for around the cost of an "off the peg " standard ring
