Gonna sit here in the corner of the G&B bar with my glass of cono sur red if thats ok, its quiet tonight though. After spending the day cleaning the house and the OVEN and planning a day baking cookies and MB cupcakes with dd tomorrow, I went to heat a cottage pie up at dinner time and the fcuking oven isn't heating . Looking online it seems the element may have gone!!! No chance of getting it fixed before Christmas now....thankful I have a slow cooker for meat but no roasties . And dh just commented this morning as to how calm and organised I am this year. So it seems I can join the night shift tonight with my wine and not have to worry about getting up early in the morning

    If money isn't an object

Whisky - Glenmorangie/Glenlivit, in fact, any malt. Just not Laphroig, I live it, but it is very peaty/salty and isn't to everyones taste.

Hows about a wee Bladnoch 15 non chill, down to my last bottle an a half but its one heck of a dram. :D

An I know what ya mean about the Laghroig but I usually give friends a thimble of Ardbeg before letting them try the L and they usually appreciate the taste and start to notice the difference. :)

No don't feel guilty. I put all my through ss and had other shopping in the trolley. What I do is whack whatebers glitching through as quick as I can and pay for that bit first. Then they can't take them off you as you've paid. Then I carry on with the rest

I like your style Nikki I must remember to do this.

I 'found' a load of 1p sweeties today (Little Miss Scary) and I was scanning 4 of these then some regular stuff ... then another four ... more regular ... four more etc. But I suppose by doing this I'm just prolonging the agony ;)

However, if money is a problem, I believe that Sainsbobs have 2 x 1 litres of spirit for £26

Thanks for this info 3Dogs ... just remembered that I have loads of Nectar points. Been collecting for years and never redeemed them :j

Right ... I hope I don't wake anyone up but I'm gonna run a bath and have a soak ... well it is nearly Christmas!

Oooh never thought of that, thanks. Was gonna try and clean the top oven tomorrow (only used as a grill and smoky when oven mode is turned on) but now I have an excuse to go shopping again

My oven died just before Christmas a few years back and I got a cheap combination microwave oven (from Asda I think) to tide me over. Not huge but it's still going and quite often use it for cooking/heating small bits ... cheaper(?) than heating a large oven. HTH
