Bumped in to my neighbour (the gay one) on the way in and him and another guy were carrying a load of bags. I says to him "I hope you're not moving out, you're the quietest neighbour I've had in years" So he tells me he is moving in with his boyfriend. "Oh how nice, have you been together long?" He tells me they have been together a week!!!
2 quid says he will move back in next week because the relationship has gone tits up! Call me cynical if you like.0 -

They have made 20 blocks of butter for the table, 10 knobs of butter for baking (equivalent of 5 blocks-last nights batch) 5 pints of buttermilk
That is at least £25 of butter if you reckon £1 a block on offer. That's without considering the cost of the milk.
The cartons cost me £3.40 but only cos most of the cream I got was 20p a tub. Had I got em all tonight it would have cost a fraction of that as the huge tubs were 10p each.
I am sooooo doing it again. Completely thrifty endeavour which fills you with a sense of pride!
So impressed!:T
Do you think it would work in a food processor? My whisk may not be up to the job and I'd love to try it...:)Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -

I'm quite tempted to try this, but I'm kinda fussy about my butter, I'm a Lurpak gal  I know, not very MSE but it tastes so good on my toast!
Do you think I would like it? I know that's a bit of a random question lol :rotfl: What's the smallest amount of cream that you could use to try it out? tia...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
