I'm not sure if I posted on here a few months back, but she was boinging up and down at the base of a tree yapping at a squirrel when one of the discs in her back exploded and all the fragments entered her spinal canal.
she was basically paralysed from her chest backwards. Couldn't poo or wee or move. We didn't expect to take her home again.
A few days past and a little twitching in her legs came back and slowly slowly the movement came back and about a month later she was walking again. She's still not quite right and under extreme 'cornering' still loses her back end from time to time and still struggles to get in the car sometimes but she's probably 85% back to how she was.
Just before I took that pic, we'd just put fresh sheets and quilt cover on the bed and we'd had a pillow fight with her much to her amusement, her yappin and leaping around. Like most dogs, she just loves a bit of attention.
Lovin all the hound pics tonight!
Awww! What a little trooper, reminds me of the amazing progress my cat Lady did when the vets really didn't think she would last the night, I had her for three more months!

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -

On my whoopsie run Friday night I bumped into a good friend, the sort of friend you would do shopping with and go for coffee after...
But I was horrified to see her! I had a list of 1p things I wanted to look for and scan, a trolley with 6 x 4 packs of J20 I only wanted if there was a glitch! She totally threw me off balance and I was willing her to go but she wouldn't! She said she had finished so I pretended to go to get more stuff, went off for a bit then went to the SS...stressful enough with the J20 "glitch" yesterday.
I realised - I'm not a normal shopper anymore! I can't deal with unexpected interruptions as I could miss something! What have I turned into?:rotfl:Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be

I'll go with your resolution too kadison, we thought we were going to lose Bonnie in May this year when she had a stroke but she is still with us, so hoping all 3 still here to see in 2013
That's like the resolution on a screen hun they are on about
Aww bless her, let's hope we both get to keep our resolutions then xx
Thanks for explaining, I hadn't thought that it was called screen 'resolution' lol! I didn't think you could even do that, don't they have to match your clubcard to be used as rewards?
I want to get to 1st Jan 2013 and still have both my cats well and alive, no kitties to go in 2012 please xxx
A friend of mine posted that on facebook, I still don't get it, will someone enlighten me please?

This is what I thought was going to be my last photo of Bonnie - I'd taken her to the vets after she'd suddenly started falling down, wobbling to one side, and they did blood tests. I was sitting in the van with her waiting around for the results, and decided to take her pic, just in case, but results were ok'ish and after some tablets she's been ok, if rather slow at times, since then, thank GodHowever, she now walks funny, sort of throwing her left leg in front of her left as she walks, sort of catwalk style, and we don;t know if that is due to the 'stroke' or because I had to cut those bandages off her legs that night when she started trying to frantically pull them off herself - her leg was swollen 3 times the normal size, which I think you can see just starting on this pic
Just looking at her now, all curled up on her cushion, looking tinyMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Aaagh she's gorgeous - there's something so heartbreaking about an animal with bandages like they need even more love than usual..you just want to make it betterLearn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
