So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Thanks to Happy Chappy's notes, below is a photo of my 2 boys. Arnie is now 8 and Dudley is 7 months old. Dudley's a real handful as he's now 7 months old and is a total lunatic. Arnie is the most wonderful dog that I've owned as he's so affectionate and loyal.

Sounds like a pluckin waste of time to me!

Big tip for those making butter:

Last night I used room temperature cream and a cold bowl (as recommended) and the results were really quick.

Last night though I left a bowl full of cream in the bowl covered as I was too pooped to process another batch.
I have just got the cold cream and bowl out of the fridge to process but it ain't separating. Will have to let it warm up a tad and put in a cold bowl before I proceed.

In other words, room temp cream and cold bowl WORKS!!!

Thought it might save a few of you lot thinking that it doesn't work.
Just wait for the chill to leave the cream before you start.

    :)

Gonna do the dishes and go back to it after...

You can also make it without a bowl or whisk! just keep shaking the tub you bought it in up and down until it starts to thud...twas how I made mine last xmas!!:D
