Saga turns in AA !!

(Sorry should be turns INTO AA)

Anyone else having problems logging in to Saga(Birmingham Midshires) ? every time I press log in it comes up with the AA site.I also have AA savings.

Now i am told my log in for AA is wrong!(and i was only on there a few minutes ago.) is it me or what? How the heck can that happen ? Could someone please try for me even if they are not with either company?

Mind you.Saga went funny two weeks ago.Kept locking me out,so i rang up to ask why.Told there were too many chaarcters in my password!! I had 11 and it only took 10.I had been using the same password quite happily for 2years,then they decide that, and don't bother actually telling me!!

Any more hassle and when my bond matures,I'm out!!

Ive had similar problems before when I log off from the AA then try to login to the BM website, the AA website kept popping up.

Got it to work by login out of the AA website, then closing down the browser. Re-open browser and manage to login to BM website OK.

Don't ask me why, I know its strange but it worked when I closed down the browser between accounts.

Same problem about login into AA, BM & Saga accounts also discussed in this thread:

Thats what happened to me the first time the problem happened, I ended up getting locked out and had to apply for new security details.

Yes it happened to me earlier on this year, got locked out because of the above problem, had to wait for new security details which was a pain.

At the time I did do a search on here to see if the glitch was a common problem but nout showed up, so presumed it was just me with a gremlin causing me problems on my PC. But since then I see others are affected with the same problem, I'd thought they would have fixed the problem by now.

Just had a bit of a moan at them. It's all very well to say just delete your cookies but you don't want to be doing that every time.Anyway, got my new access token and all set up again. He explained it was because they both come under the umbrella of Birmingham Midshires but they ought to be able to sort out stuff like that. Not everyone is computer savvy.

I manage to get round it by closing down the browser, then re-opening the browser and it works (without deleting the cookies).

In my case the cookies are not deleted, if I did that each time because of BM/AA then I have to wait for a text from Tesco Internet Savings to come through with a code because it says its not my normal PC when I delete the cookies!

    Aptly named...... What a saga!

Up to this point i was quite happy with them, good rates, easy website to use, etc. They need to be careful or they will lose customers. There's more to savings than just the best rate.

Hello there, I hope you find the following information useful.

This problem is caused by brand information being stored locally on a users PC during an internet session, over which we have no control. It will occur typically if the user has multiple savings brand products, such as Saga and AA accounts, and they don’t close their browser down in between sessions. To resolve the issue we suggest closing your browser down and re-opening it before logging into each savings account. There is no need to delete cookies.
