I wonder whether I've been doing this for a while?! I always feel quite drowsy when I've taken them...And then sick in the morning. but then I take cocodamol with them... Hmm, probably not good for my insides but I get the worst cramps! Anyway, I'm alive, I'm just not gonna take anymore for a couple of days, despite pain.
Last time I phoned the nhs helpline was for my brother, who'd eaten a raw beef burger, and they laughed, and then told us there's a dish with raw beef in it... it's made me reluctant to call them ever since!
Thanks for the info though x
Hi gs!
What a shame you had that experience gs!:o
As you said it was accidental, I'm sure you won't carry on taking them at 400mg, even if you felt better yesterday.
Does your Mum get them on prescription? If so, go and see the doc and get one for yourself if you need them frequently - he may advise a better one for you.
I only say this because of the reactions you say you get - maybe you should see gp and get yourself checked out hun.
I've become dairy intolerant and can't take normal ibuprofen due to there being dairy content in it.
Another option to calling nhs direct if you feel you can't, is to phone your usual chemist if you can because they'll have your drug records on computer , or if not, any chemist, and ask them. Make sure you ask to speak to the pharmacist though and not a counter assistant just to be safe. That way, you've had info from an expert.
Also, a lot of drs surgeries offer brief phone appointments which you could use or you could just phone the surgery and tell the receptionist what's happened and they will probably let the duty dr speak to you on the phone.
It's always best to ask the experts and be sure hun.;) Hope you feel better.
