Council tax banding for new build house in Scotland

I'm buying a new build house in September for £245000 and according to the local coucil website anything valued over £212000 will be band H. However, most of the other houses in the area which are not new builds and are selling for the same price are only valued at Band F. I presume this is because they haven't been rebanded since 1991 and they were prob in Band F in 1991 but should be in Band H now. My question is will they band the new build at Band H because it's worth over £212000 or at Band F like the other houses in the area.

Your house will probably be put in the same band as the other houses. The banding is based on what your house would have been worth if it had existed in 1991. Not on what it is worth today.0
