Thorntons Premium Chocolates scanning at £2 in Tesco

Was in Lincoln No2 Tecso today, there was some Thorntons Premium gift wrapped chocolates on the top shelf not on display, got the SA to scan and they came up at £2 a box !

I grabbed 3 boxes there were about 10 left

The Premium chocs are basically Contentinals , there were in a red gift wrapped box and are £8 on the Tesco site

Found these today in my store, they scanned at £8.00. The non wrapped box scans at £5.00. Must be a store specific glitch - sadly

Mentioned this on another thread but even if your local store doesn't have the glitch you can still get them for £2. I bought 3 of the gift wrapped ones, paid £8 for each of them and then went to CS and complained about being overcharged as they should have been reduced to £5. A short discussion followed but they eventually agreed that the the gift wrapped ones looked as though they should have been £5 too, so i got dtd back which worked out at £6 a box. So I still got them for £2. Result.

Had these in my local extra marked at £7 but scanned for £2. Bought 4 boxes but plenty left.

If you're buying the boxes pictured they won't scan at £2 you need the wrapped boxes with fine vertical stripes they scan just fine tried at two different branches 40 miles apart.

In Tesco this morning they had Thorntons Premium Collection 214g box for £2!! It's gift wrapped, and could be used for any celebration. Next to it was the unwrapped version for £7! Best before 28th of July 2112.
