Asda Price Guarantee - Don't forget
I called at my local Asda last night for a top up shop and some Christmas booze. When I did the Price Guarantee this morning, it gave me a voucher for £14.59! It seems Tesco would have been £2.28 cheaper. My total order was £165.41 (taking account of my last Price Guarantee voucher of £4.28).
I just wanted to remind anyone shopping at Asda (especially if buying branded Christmas booze), don't forget the Price Guarantee and you may be surprised.

I find the Price Guarantee pretty useless - it never compares all the prizes, usually doesn't count half my items and then complains that I didn't buy enough to do a comparison. I have given up on that gimmick...0

I work for Asda - and while I agree somewhat with the previous post, it is still worth doing as you'll never know what you'll get back.
I work primarily on self service checkouts and the amount of vouchers vary greatly in value. Most often, the voucher value is less than £5 but I have seen vouchers in excess of £19.00. Plus, after checking and marking their receipt to ensure it's only used once, I have noticed that my customers don't necessarily need to spend more to get a higher value voucher. It totally depends on what you buy.
Say, for example your shop includes a 'high-value' item such as premium whisky. If the price for the item is £21.47 I know that it is probably a full-price item and will probably be cheaper elsewhere. At Asda our rollbacks are usually marked down to a round number (e.g. £12). So when a customer comes through my tills with something of high value I tell them to do the APG check!
Asda have spent a lot of money on the APG promotion and it has worked well for us; customers want their shopping cheaper and our guarantee ensures people come back to us without the hassle of having to shop around.0 -
I checked my online Christmas drinks shopping bill with the APG and I'm getting £30.09 back because Stella was cheaper in Sainsbury's. It's always worth checking! There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0

The APG is definitely worth doing, but check the expiry on the voucher, checked mine tonight as it expires tomorrow..... I'm sure it is only a couple of weeks old, off tomorrow to stock up!DFW 1108 Proud to be dealing with my debts:love: 2014Is Going to be the Year...for love...:smileyhea0
