The St Donards car boot sale is usually in full swing by 9am, so I'd say you'd need to be there well before 8 to get a decent spot. It's extremely popular, especially on a decent day.

It's on every Saturday from now through to about October. If I recall correctly, gates open at 8am but cars start to queue from before 7am (don't know how much before 7am...I'm never up that early on a Saturday!)

  • Was in Newcastle over the weekend and took a spin out past Dundrum..
    OH MY GOD!!
People are literally putting their lives at risk! It is such a Busy road and a distinct lack of parking for those visiting... the road was like a carpark and some pedestrians comming out of the place were really not paying enough attention to the traffic.... I'm supprised someone hasn't been killed there!! Is it always like this??

Whereabouts is the car boot in Dundrum? We were driving through over Easter to Newcastle and looked out for signs for the car boot but couldnt see anything. (just incase we ever go down to that one in future)

    thanks:beer:

    Hi Guys
Can anyone confirm that the Crumlin Rd Car Boot is still open on a Sunday morning. We tried it about a month ago and it was obviously off. Don't want a wasted trip!! Many thanks
