Moody's gives UK high scores ......

...... ratings agency Moody's has given the UK high scores for economic governance.

In its annual guidance for investors, Moody's says the UK has "significant structural strengths" and deserves its top AAA rating.

What FANTASTIC news!!

One in the eye for the doom-mongers on here I'd say!!

Things are looking up for 2012 - it's going to be a GREAT New Year - enjoy it folks!!!

the UK faces formidable and rising challenges. Its near-term macroeconomic outlook has weakened, and this will likely slow the pace of its fiscal consolidation. The significant increase in the government's deficit and debt stock since 2008 has eroded its ability to absorb further macroeconomic or fiscal shocks without rating implications.

yep thats just fantastic... further shocks are almost certain meaning a UK downgrade is highly likely. fantastic.:T

!!!!!! are you on, who are these doom mongers you are talking about. If you are suggesting that anyone who is expecting or wants lower property prices then I am one also. But this particular doom monger is also chuffed that we have an AAA rating, I also want

    1, A sound economy
    2, low inflation
    3, low jobless figures

Oh, and affordable decent housing, something you are dead against. What is it with you MrRees, have you over extended yourself in recent years with property debt, looks that way to me.

When the going gets tough - the tough get going ..... if you have skills there is nothing to fear, if you have no skills then equip yourself with them.

It is a time of chances, a time of hope, a time to look forward - not back!

Too many people are happy to sit on their rear ends and expect others to do the work for them.
