You went to NYC to do your xmas shopping and the first thing you do when you get back is look in the mirror, smug with yourself and the second thing you do is log onto MSE to tell everyone here that you are smug with yourself?Went to NYC to do my Xmas Shopping ..... back now.
Obviously you dont have any friends as otherwise the first thing you would have done is either wrapped the presents that you have bought for all your friends or alternatively get the mulled wine on for the xmas drinks with your friends. But as you're not, i can only presume you have no friends - you didnt have to buy any presents and you dont have anyone to drink mulled wine with.0 -

Did you wake up feeling refreshed?
Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

Hi brit - hows things? Your deposit must be looking pretty good by now, just wondering how much longer you intend to hold out before buying?
Very well, deposit ready (big amount in top account
), furniture either bought or funds saved, mortgage/solicitors fees saved, I have even got stamp duty saved.
While I wait for the right moment I will keep saving more, also buying cheap shares and also getting precious metals.
The plan is to sell the shares and metals after I bought during high periods to over pay of the mortgage with those funds.
I think later in mid 2012 I will start seriously looking.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

Wow brit - you're planning to grow a spine and buy !! Good for you !!
So are you still holding out for a 50% price drop by then?
Shame you'll have spent 9 years in rental, while you watched prices rocket away from you. While I wait for the right moment I will keep saving more, also buying cheap shares and also getting precious metals..
You boasted about stocking up on gold a few months back. How is that working out for you??

I very much doubt it ... most of the coppas I know could lift a smile without it straining themselves ... they are hardly likely to take on a 20 stone gorilla, now are they?
