NORAD tracks Santa

Every year NORAD tracks Santa as he distributes gifts across the world.
Satellites positioned in geo-synchronous orbit at 22,300 miles from the Earth’s surface are equipped with infrared sensors, which enable them to detect heat. Amazingly, Rudolph’s bright red nose gives off an infrared signature, which allows our satellites to detect Rudolph and Santa.
You can follow his progress here.

We track every year too - great fun and the kids get to learn about different parts of the world as well, but don't realise that they are being educated.
I read recently that Father Christmas has to deliver to 822 houses a second, and travel at 650 miles a minute, in order to deliver to all houses in the world......0 -
Been at it for three weeks now0
