I hot footed it to my local Asda (Sefton Park) after reading this just in case, but as predicted the only reductions there were very minor: Harry Potter sets down to £25 from £28 (Knight Bus) and £17 from £19 (Quidditch match)! Big deal! No reductions on any of the Lego City or Alien Conquest etc, and definitely NO big reductions on anything! :( Oh well, not a totally wasted journey as I did pick up some wrapping paper and Christmas M&Ms all for 50p each!
  • Asda stafford had loads of reductions today incuding
    blue vtech video cameras £25
loads of lego sets, less than half price
cookie the dog £15 (there were bout 4 of these and they went as soon as they were put out)
bob the builder toys, microwaves, russell hobbs pan sets, amongst lots of boxes of various bits and bobs

I had the same experience last year with the Toy Story train, I was so disappointed when others were reporting getting it at 75% off in ASDA and it wasn't significantly reduced in my local. However I happened to be in a week later when they had just got round to reducing it further - I think you just have to keep an eye out and I guess they will probably catch up at some point. One other point - did you check what the alien conquest was scanning at? - just that when I got the mothership it was on two different shelves, one of which was priced at £29:eek:

Yes sorry I forgot to mention, I got the Alien thing scanned and it was £29 (no SEL so I was half hoping for a fab bargain!)
