Probably a lot of people, but you might not like it. The maturity of your thread title, however, shows that you probably won't care either way.
we have been in fincial difficulty for some time and have never missed a mortgage payment, we had moved down to essex and rented our house out in the midlands but the tenants stopped paying us rent so we fell behind with payments
This was a dangerous move without ensuring that you were able to afford the mortgage even without tenants.
plus my partner lost his job
    Sorry to hear that.
we managed to move back but have been 4500 in debt through no fault of our own
Not sure about this. Ok, your partner lost his job. You could have taken insurance to protect his income but you likely didn't take this out because you thought it was a rip-off. Doesn't look like a rip-off now, I guess. There were things that you could have done to avoid the situation. You didn't. You're not totally blameless for the situation in which you find yourself.
we went interest only for a period £845 but the bank just wanted more money we upped it to £900 and that was a struggle
At least you're trying, which will go in your favour.
my partner has managed to get a job:j and when i phoned them up to say we want to pay the full amount again plus an extra £32 a month but they still want more money and are pressuring us
They can't do this - you can pay what you can afford. But you need to be aware that in not clearing the arrears, your credit file will remain in tatters.
we still have 20 years to go on the mortgage and are stuffed on a 6.2% fixed rate till june 2013 can anyone give us any advice
Pay as much as you can.
can we tell the bank to poo as we are paying them in full again and pay them off over the next few years :(
If you are £4500 in arrears, it will take you 12 years just to repay that amount, let alone the interet on top of it, at £32 per month. They are reasonable to ask for more. If you can't afford it then you can't afford it. Not much they can do about it, to be honest.
we feel like there kicking us again and we have always paid every month and the happiness we were feeling has gone down the pan:mad:

Pay what you can afford, and if they don't like it tell them to take you to court. Any court will send them away because you are doing all that you can to rectify the situation. The lender needs to recognise this and act in a fair manner.

Agreed with the above, if you have stopped getting into more arrears and are actually starting to pay them off then i dont think a court in the land would kick you out of your home.

What you could possibly do, is ask them to extend the term. This will reduce your payments and with the extras you are paying this will then allow you to catch up quicker...the downside is you will be paying your mortgage for a longer period and in turn more interest. But you could always reduce the term back down once you are on top of everything again.

I have to admit though, whilst your probably not in a position of losing your home....you could atleast post a thread which is easy enough to read without us having to work it out and also be grown up about the situation. Im bordering on whether you actually deserve any help if im being brutally honest. The advisors on here (including myself) do this out of the goodness of our heart - we dont get paid, i do it because i learn off other advisors and i dont mind helping people that need it.
