Without knowing the organisational setup:

She could work at finding a route to have the previous incumbent removed from the interview panel (otherwise she's Donald ducked).

If previous incumbent is stupid enough to send the power point presentation from her works e-mail, a word in the ear of HR manager to draw his/ her attention to what may breach the employers equality/ diversity policy and question the integrity of the (ir)responsible manager and throw doubt on their impartiality re their presence on the panel.
