Student loan of daughter or Son, does it pay to help to have less?

    I am not sure about 2012 loans but the current loans are on 1.5% at the minute.

    That means that I can hold £1000 in student loan debt, stick it in a savings account, and at year end I have £1030 while I owe them £1015.
