Hi All

Have been reading up as a non-member until now, I see there are no end of posts on here with regards to "SRJ Pay", can I ask, what is the outstanding verdict on them?

I currently receive 2 text messages and 2 emails a day from them, claiming I owe debt and demanding immediate payment. They have not, however, made any reference to the amount, or who it is owed to.

The texts always say:
Dear Mr (Bloggs)
Please contact SRJ on 08453137297 quoting reference (ref num) or visit us at www srjpay com

The e-mails, are a bit longer, with:
Mr (Bloggs)

SRJ have recently sent you a letter to your address and are awaiting a call. Please contact SRJ urgently regarding your account on 08453137218 quoting your reference number (ref num)

Our offices are open 0800 - 2100 Monday to Friday and 0900 - 1600 Saturdays.

Alternatively you can make a payment at any Post Office or Payzone location by quoting ref (longer ref num) or if you prefer you can register and log in at WWW SRJPAY COM where you will be able to make a payment, see answers to frequently asked questions or send and receive secure messages.

If you have any problems entering the Web site please call us on 02031478553.

We are here to help you resolve this matter quickly and easily.

In either case I've seen no evidence that I actually owe anyone anything, it's just a company asking me to pay money using their 'debt collection' front to scare me I expect.

I replied with the following:
Dear Sir / Ma'am;

Regarding your e-mail and persistent text messages I would like to advise you that I have no intention of co-operating with your demands since they are in breach of the Office of Fair Trading's debt collection guidelines. Furthermore you have made no reference to what I owe or who I owe it to. Through being clear of all debts I have no doubt that you are operating illegally and attempting to gain money by deception.

I haven't heard back yet, but we'll see what they want to do.

I am interested, however, to see if anybody else has managed to reach a verdict on who SRJ are, how legit they are, and the best way to deal with them.
