Please remember that we may be generally thought of as well paid but we also pay tax.
How gracious of you.I have never received a benefit in my life
Apart from a subsidised education, you mean. The kind of subsidised education that's denied to today's youngsters.there are enough government professionals who have set out to make our lives difficult
Difficult how, exactly? Last time I checked, dentists were doing pretty well out of the NHS - better than most other primary care clinicians. That's not to say they shouldn't be well paid, but it's a bit much to come grumbling on a public forum about how terribly hard life is for you when you represent the top end of wage earners in the UK, with a truly enviable level of job security. Especially at a time when many are losing their jobs.without creatures like you who resent people who have worked exceptionally hard to be where they are.
Nice ad hominem attack there. And why do you assume that others haven't also worked very hard to get where they are?"There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. When it comes to history, it will be the people who broke the law for freedom that will be remembered and honoured." --Rt. Hon. Tony Benn0 -
Who paid for your engineering degree...?0

biteme you seem to be reading the wrong posts to me. Deliberately or accidentally I cant tell. Care to point out where we commented on how terribly hard life is?? I seem to have missed all those. Are you seeing things? You may wish to get that looked in to.0

Never criticize another until you have walked a mile in their shoes
then you are a mile away with their shoes.

Cor, that's a bit stalky...! I don't know whether to be flattered or concerned that you're following me around the boards.
And in answer to your question, the same state that paid for yours, no doubt. The difference is, I'm not bleating about how I pay my taxes and work terribly hard."There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. An engineer?
No wonder the girls avoid the mistletoe! How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

Again .... seeing things that arent there! If you want to launch a tirade against the dental profession go ahead but why not open your own thread for it?0 -

Rang up what I thought was my dentist (whole family go there, last dentist I saw etc) and as I haven't been for a couple of years I am no longer registered with them. Because of this I would have to re-register and they aren't registering new patients until January and then wouldn't be able to give me an appointment for for a couple of weeks...).
At least this way to get to re-register at a practise you are familiar with.
Best of luck0 -

What tirade? All I did was call you on your whinging, which comprised the first several responses to the OP - can't you take a bit of criticism without blowing it out of proportion?
Apparently not."There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. When it comes to history, it will be the people who broke the law for freedom that will be remembered and honoured." --Rt. Hon. Tony Benn0 -
Well as I have pointed out you are incorrect about what we were commenting on
You are clearly biased with your own agenda so move along now
