I had the same issue a few weeks back.
Ended up buying the collection 2000 one - slime black clamshell with full mirror in side. Cheap and cheerful but powder has been find for touchups.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
Thanks again girls (assume you're all girls lol). It's a Boots 17 one I'm just finishing, and I've looked instore for the same but either they have changed the packaging or sold out or I was looking in the wrong place.
We shop at Aldi all the time and I've never noticed face cosmetics, only moisturisers. Will have a hunt round next time I'm in there.
I can't understand why so many powders don't include a mirror. Must be designed by a man!I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

and third - I really like 17's powder. It has a little puff too which is handy for on the go. I find 17 stuff to be pretty much the same as No7, just with less fancy packaging.
Its interesting because I dont like No 7 at all and its so expensive, I use a lot of No 17 products atm, many recommended from here, I like the blusher, the mirror shine lipstick is excellent and dd loves the mascara in a pink tube and its so cheap with offers on all the time:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
I use the virgin vie one step face base compacts and they have a mirror, also are foundation and powder in one. Bit more expensive but i've had my compact for about 5 years and just buy refills now. Also if you use foundation too it'll save this cost.
It lives in the bottom of my handbag so must be hardwearing!!!0 -

That explains it! My present one is grey. I bought a few when they were on a 3for2 offer a few years ago. Just coming to the end of the last one now.
Right, off on my mission I go again! (I know I could order online but I like to see the powder colour in real life, also at this time of year it might take ages to arrive).I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I love the Mirror Shine lipsticks so much! I agree with your DD about the pink mascara, it's decent (not had any luck with No7 mascaras) and I got a free eyeliner with it.
Bogof_Babe: good luck! I agree with seeing the colour in person - I'm very pale but got the "Nicely natural" (the middle shade) as I felt the lightest one was too light. Also, pick up the Boots magazine (free for Advantage Card holders) - it has a voucher in the back for 100 points when you buy a 17 product.0 -
Update - I found the Lacura ones in Aldi and have bought two in shade "Transparent". It looks ideal for 'out and about' touch-ups and is a neat, slim compact. Thank you esme for the suggestion.
Thanks also Skyllo for the info about the Boots mag. I'll have another look for the 17 powder (don't mind stocking up, it doesn't "go off") and have some of those free Advantage points :T.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

why not buy a compact and just put the refills in it. I used to be amazed at my nans compact. I have no idea why. think it was partly the smell of the powder and my mum didn't have one!0
