No longer a wannabe - just mortgage free!!

:j At last after 28 years and 3 months (and 4 house moves) we are mortgage free. Paid the last £6.96 off this morning. Next challenge is to save enough money up to be able to retire at 55. :T:beer:

    May 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin! :)

    Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
    September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
    April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
    Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045

    Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 2037

    Just keep chipping away at it - it's amazing how quickly it seems to come down - it all has to go in a savings account now before we get used to the extra money :rotfl:
