in Cutting tax
I just checked online banking and noticed that council tax direct debit has gone out, even though we don't pay it in Feb and March, will get that sorted out later today.
If you pay by direct debit it's probably worth checking that yours hasn't gone out as well if you pay over 10 months out of the 12.

Hiya
Check your first payment went out in April - as some authoritys don't start the first of the 10 installments until May.
Also - if you have only moved into the property later in the year - the council sometimes spread the repayments over an extra month.2 Tickets to Blackrock Masters Tennis:j0 -
I've got a question kinda related..
My council tax comes out on the 15th of the month which is no good to me as I get paid on the 28th, is it possible to change the date?
Also what number do I ring to change this?I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!0 -

Phone your council's accounts department. Your council will have a website giving this sort of information.

Quote from my own Council :-Direct Debit
This is the safest and most convenient way to pay.
You have a choice of two dates - the 1st or 20th of each month
Different areas will have different dates .. depending on the arrangements they have with BACS.
But very unlikely anyone will give you a date after the 28th in the month! You'll have to arrange it eg that your pay on 28th Apr - is the money to fund the DD due out in May?If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Our council has the 5th, 15th, 23rd and 28th as payment dates - however as suggested - check with your local council for their dates as they can differ.2 Tickets to Blackrock Masters Tennis:j0

Our local council has taken the direct debits on the first of the month but after complaints is going to change to the 15th of the month in April...0
