Does Anybody know how long it takes for a confirmation email to come from hmv? I ordered something last night and i got a email from simply tap to say they have recieved payment and i need to wait for confirmation from hmv but i still haven't got anything .... ?

Can take up to to 72 hours apparently on some of the other sites I was reading....

This has quite confused me too!

I ordered the Gavin & Stacey boxset yesterday after seeing a post on HUKD (the Inbetweeners seems like a good deal, but it makes me cringe!)... but where do people find these codes?

It seems like an odd method of shopping... :rotfl:

Beware of Simply Tap. They are fine if it all goes well. If there's a problem - phone them up and they will shun all responsibility of your order and will tell you to go to the shop i.e. HMV and take it up with them.
Can you imagine fighting your way to the front of the queue and then asking why your DVD hasn't been delivered in time for Christmas or you've received the wrong DVD.
I put that to Simply Tap and they claimed they are responsible for the application and couldn't (wouldn't) do anything about it.
Probably the worst customer service that Ive ever encountered with a company.

Just to let people know, I didn't receive any email from HMV but have been charged by Simply Tap and when I saw the posts above I forwarded my Simply Tap email to HMV and they replied with the following:

Thank you for your order for the following item from hmv.com via Simply Tap:

Inbetweeners : The Movie (DVD)

Your order was despatched to you via Standard UK Mail. You should receive the item within 3-5 working days from dispatch date, however due to the seasonal holidays, some delays may be experienced.

Etc Etc

So don't worry too much, if you are worried then just forward your email to website.service@hmv.co.uk and you should get a response. I only emailed this morning and have already received a reply.

The info I saw (think it was on their FB page) said that you won't get a confirmation email from HMV, you should just take your ST email as a receipt.
