Websites offering credit

hope this is the right place to post
i shop online a fair bit but have only just seen this
in the news of the world today they had an and mum wanted something, on the ad it talks about 28days 'free home trial' basically a credit agreement which i dont want to do, just want to pay upfront.
went to the website and the website says you can 'the choice of spreading your payments over time or paying straight away by credit card.' but to register its asking for time at address etc (credit check questions)
i dont wanna give them that info just pay with credit card and get the stuff
i can ring them and get it over the phone and say i dont want to give that info
but the fact you have to give all this info online doesnt give me a good feeling about what the company is like.
and that we wont be hasseled for credit etc in the future
should i be worried?
:( would just find somewhere else but 1st time we've seen it anywhere!

I tried to buy some stuff online in the next sale but in order to do so you have to sign up for the next directory, credit check and all. I wanted to pay for it right away, I dont want credit, wouldn't pass the credit check anyway.
