anyone else having a dry month

Maybe it's the Christmas post! Perhaps after Christmas there will be a backlog of wins turn up! That's what I am hoping for anyway!!!

I've been entering the same number of comps this year as the past 3 years but have only had one quarter of the the wins. Maybe just an unlucky spell but more likely more people entering. Not a single win since September and if all this months entries dont produce a result I'll be having a little rest for a while.

Out of the 2000 competitions you do a month how many do you win on average? Are they big or small wins? Is certain times luckier than others - holiday times etc when maybe there are not so many people doing competitions.
Seaholly I like your thinking. Wouldn't it be nice if all our wins did turn up after Christmas. Here's hoping.
About 10 years ago I was made redundant just before Christmas, so from the 1st December to about the 21st December I did nothing but enter competitions:- magazines, local stores, newspapers, everything. I did not have to buy 1 Christmas present that year as I won them all. I believe if its for you, it won't go by you. (Old Irish saying).

I've been comping since November. During Nov, I entered all the comps finishing the next day but in December I could barely keep up so I do all the advents and work my way through the board starting on the last page. On average I do about 150+ comps a day over about 4/5 hours and still won NOTHING!!!!

But I'm nit giving up hope, I have faith I have a lot that will turn up out of the blue. In the meantime I read all the IWIWIW posts to keep.me going when my spirits are low and I think of giving up.

Some hope for those that have become disheartened

I was having a very dry few months, had won one prize in 3 months but then yesterday had a call from my wife to say that 7 prizes - all small to be fair- had turned up at once so it does happen like that sometimes :j

What I have found at the moment is that the amount of comps seems a lot more than last year- may just be me- finding it really difficult to cope with the advents etc on top of the dailys, am a long way behind

It varies month to month, I can do roughly the same amount of comps and win 20 items that month or sometimes just 6. Again the prizes vary I have been lucky to have some amazing big wins but I also like the little useful wins too. I haven't had to buy a mascara or shampoo for a few years now!
