Well i have made a decision,i'm not going to waste another day sat checking my account and emails,i'm going to go out with my children and enjoy the christmas holidays.
There is more to life than the next sale and tbh it will do me a favour to not have a slot as at least i won't overspend.0 -
I have always had a slot for at least the last 7 or 8 VIP sales, and I haven't got one this time! I am really miffed as to why! have spent a small fortune over the last year, fit all their criteria, yet have no invite :-(
I am not sure whether to feel upset/angry or relieved that I can't spend any more money!! I know which one my husband is feeling! lol0 -
Seems to be a lot more of the regular customers are not getting vip slots this year than in previous years, I wonder if that's deliberate or a complete screw up by next that they can't retract now.
I've no slot this sale either despite as with everyone else being a regular customer who fits all the criteria, and like many others with very young children hell will freeze over before I make them endure a sale instore.
Next's poor allocation of slots and treatment of regular customers is definately good news for Debenhams, John Lewis and Boots!!!
(see you all on the Boots 75% sale thread when that starts up :rotfl:).0 -

I am feeling exactly the same as you word for word, I feel let down and deflated that we have been loyal customers for years, spent lots of money yet get treated this way. To be honest I find Next clothes very dear for what they are especially childrens, just kitted my son out in 2 -3 and 3- 4 clothes so spent thousands. I also think it is a joke to charge more for slightly larger clothes than smaller ones noticed a good £1 on each item when i go up a size in childrens. Not good marketing for Next. I find other shops more cost effective. So will be sticking to other shops to be honest but then again i have enough clothes for my son til he gets to about 8 !!!
Make £200 by end of January... £20.42/£200
Grocery Challenge £200 pm Jan £0/£200
January no spend days - 1/310 -
I have had a slot for the past 4-5 years too and spend on average £300 for each sale.
It does make you wonder whats going on?0 -
I too haven't got a slot this year after receiving them for the last 4 or 5 years. The weird thing is I have spent more with them this year than any of the previous years. I'm not too bothered as I don't really need anything and would only end up buying stuff for the sake of it. So in a strange kind of way I'm quite relieved!0

I've always had one for the last 4 or 5 years too, but haven't got one this year
As has already been said, if you don't get the first slot there's not much point getting a slot at all... I'm still obsessively checking my account, my emails and on here though. Bloody Next :rotfl:0 -
havent gotten an invite this time, despite getting an invite to every vip sale for the past 6-7 years im guessing.
oh well, at least i can use the directories for firelighters now:p0 -
I've had a later slot before and still got things that I wanted.0

I didn't get a VIP slot either, have done in the past and have spent a small fortune this year alone with them as we bought furniture in the last Xmas sale. I agree with a pp, I think Next assume that the regulars like myself will just continue to buy from them at full price throughout the year, whilst jumping through hoops (low returns despite the weird sizing, buying directories which are hardly looked at, etc) in the off-chance that we will get a slot in future sales, and have given the slots to others. Loyalty doesn't seem to come into it this yr having read comments on fb and here, but that cuts both ways and I will def not be buying as before from them. I will be looking elsewhere where there are regular dscount codes as with 5 kids to clothe, it costs plenty,Gillian0
