Nationwide allowing mortgage switch?

We have a Nationwide fixed rate mortgage set at high-ish rate and would be happy to pay the ERC fee to move to another product with Nationwide but when I last spoke to them they said they don't allow you to do this, but would be happy for us to take our business elsewhere which of course we can do but are happy with the Nationwide so would like to stay with them.
Has anyone moved products in this way with Nationwide and if so how did you convince them to allow you to do this.

How long does your fixed term product have left to run? Most likely you will drop onto NW's guaranteed 2% above BOE base SVR . So don't make a hasty decision.0

Look at your terms and conditions, i am also with the Nationwide 10 year fix 5 years in L T V 10% yet they say i cannot move to another product as there is none available to anyone in a fixed rate deal although there is products available to new customers (only), thats a laugh. My terms and conditions state i can pay the E R C and transfer to another product but there get out is they dont have any new products for the likes of us, plenty of deals online etc though. I think this treatment of loyal customers is shocking and i have contacted the ombudsman who is very interested and is going to have a look at this i suggest you do the same and then maybe they will take some notice if enough people complain. After all the E R C that they want to charge was factored in to the deal to cover people opting out,it is simply not good enough to say pay the E R C and go elsewhere.0
