Just a further warning because some people seem to think otherwise - these are not SAD lights. We have one. It's a rather nice alarm clock with an ordinary (non-replaceable) lamp, but it's most definitely not going to help anyone with SAD (we have a separate, much brighter, lamp for that).

tho there is no proof this works for people with SAD. myself and my wife (both suffer with SAD) found it had improved our quality of life and we do not use the bright light.

Got one a year ago when they were very cheap on the Amazon black friday week sales. Love it, you wake up in the light, normally 2 minutes before the birds start chirping.
  • Ok, so I reserved one to pick up, and although checking online, they now seem out of stock. However, on picking up my light, they had another one (plus the display model). I talked to that CSA and said that showing out of stock everywhere, but she checked online on their system and still a few lurking, I think Gloucester had 5. So if anyone is desperate for one, it may be worthwhile popping into their local store and asking them to check.

Cheers OP. Just popped into my local Comet and snapped up the last one (Oldham Elk Mill). Bargain for £30!! Tried it out using the 'test' feature and seems to be just what I have been looking for :)
  • I popped into my local Comet (Norwich) because I have wanted one of these for a couple of years now and couldn't really afford the original price. Not really expecting to be successful but they had three (this was around 16.30 today).
Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off
  • Two days of using my new clock and I'm waking up just before the alarm should go off, I like it! :j
