Lakeland Gingerbread Kit

I've just opened up my semi-made gingerbread kit, was all ready to go and then discovered that there's no piping bag, even though on the box it says there should be. Gutted!

Does anyone know if I'm just being thick - does the icing sugar bag magically convert into a piping bag?

:(

  • Is the bag in a triangular shape? If so, snip the point off. (A small snip)

You coud use a plastic food bag and snip the corner, or roll up grease proof paper into a cone then snip the end - = make ship piping bag

You may not need to pipe it. When my nephews were aking their ikea kits i just mixed a bowl of icing and they used spoons to spread it on. Mind you this did prove too tempting for te youngest (6) who decided the spoon meant he could just eat it!
  • I phoned Lakeland and their going to put a piping bag in the post in time for Christmas :) Very impressed with their customer service. I am still tempted to do a DIY icing bag as I'm DESPERATE to make it (might not have time before the Big Day) but I think this may go a bit pear!

A couple of Christmas' ago I ordered an expensive present that I needed to have for Christmas and paid extra for delivery in time with some other items.

The box came with the big £100+ present missing, and within an hour of informing Lakeland they arranged a taxi/or a staff member to drive the gift from the nearest store to me.... which was 20 miles.

I said they could take it to a much more local address so I could pick it up when visiting family, and they delivered it with a box of chocolates for my "inconvenience" :T

On the last Saturday before Christmas one of their staff drove it over on the way home.

You wouldn't get that at any other company in the world. I love Lakeland.

I just looked in mine as I'm about to make it, and the piping bag is between a couple of the gingerbread walls.

No, mine's not there, just the grease proof paper. Have fun building your house :)

We did have fun! It isn't the most perfect house as my children made it but they enjoyed it.
And it was impressively easy to make it stay up too.
