I've never used it before.
Put my house details in and had a shock.
Rental price should be 200 quid more than I'm getting and price was 20 grand higher than I thought.
It's a great site as far as I'm concerned.

It's a great site as far as I'm concerned. You are obviously looking at the wrong place. House prices are higher than ever here.
I know I am lucky to own a house in this lovely area.

So your house has gone up while the area has dropped :rotfl:Aberdeenangarse wrote: ».....and 2.83% yoy.

No doubt Sibley will be along shortly to tell us they've gone up 20% 'down his way' :rotfl:

Well it the price would go up when you added the new pool in the autumn.0 -
Hey, look, it's 'I have no need to use multiple IDs' Sibley (aka Bangkok Dave, by his own admission).
I'm confused Sibley
Could you categorically confirm or deny that you use multiple IDs, just to settle the debate once and for all?0 -

When I first joined this board.
I had a personal netbook I used for surfing the internet and my work laptop.
Don't ask me why but for my works laptop would never allow me to log onto anywhere with a personal e mail address. It just used to reject it.
Something to do with the Thai company security. I don't really know why.
I set up another ID 'Bangkok-Dave' used my work e mail to join on my work PC and it was fine.
From the first time I ever posted I told everyone it was me. Never a secret.
After a month or so, the IT support guy from UK came to Thailand and changed all my settings to UK style. I could now log onto anything I wanted. I never used the other ID from that day forward.
As you have probably guessed. I am at the end of the road with these type of forums. All it was ever about for me was having a go back at the rotten people on HPC.
Not all granted. Just the ones who were wishing bad on home owners. I think we all understand what and who I am talking about.
I'm not that much of a softie. I dont like the BTL landlords on IO mortgages who run hell holes. I feel sorry for anyone on low wages priced out.
However, there are some real hardworking people/decent who own homes and run a family. I am one of them.
Not a sob story but I started with nothing and worked 7 days a week to get into the position I now have. (Not saying it's fantastic but good enough for me)
A guy I worked with in London was a long term member of HPC and showed me an upper level that the public cannot see. Most of the hardcore members are part of this group and plan exactly what they will allow on the main site. It's really funny and myself and Hamish were always getting slagged off mainly over my Express comments and his predictions that came true.
I did have his HPC password and ID for a while and we had a laugh winding them up but even he got banned for next to nothing really.
I couldn't be bothered to play at 2 or 3 ID's fighting or supporting threads on here or HPC.
I only log on for a few minutes at a time. My style is direct and I would think it would show up easily if I had multiple ID's. I would always want to say the same thing.
!!!!! is a classic example. No matter how many names he has the agenda is the same.
There you have it.We love Sarah O Grady0 -
Would the price of a pool put up the house price? A pool in England? It doesn't increase a house price by very much, if anything, in South Africa. But unless it's an indoor pool, the cost of maintaining, and the fact you can only use even a heated pool here in the UK for 2 minutes a year, surely it cannot put up the price by much.
This is genuinely interested question. I am prepared to be amazed!
PS - am unimpressed with Zoopla - wouldn't believe anything they said (about my house anyway).0 -
I think in my experience Zoopla is spot on based on prices in our area. Used it many times, and it can tell you a lot about a potential house that the advert cant, like how one property differs to another on the same road at a high price!Plan

I prefer this site, it gives a far more accurate assessment of UK house prices for both renting & selling.

Sibley, I think your rental should be £300 more, and your house price is 25K more than what you thought.
I bet you think I'm brilliant.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0
