Buying prescription glasses on line - Help!

Options
Who do people recommend to buy glasses on line? I have the prescription, just need to save a bit of money.

I have actually seen some superdry glasses that really suit me at vision express, but its close to £200!!:eek:

Anyone know of anyone else selling them?
Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!

I've not bought designer glasses online so can't advise, but I've found https://www.specs-by-post.co.uk very good
  • I believe Superdry are distributed in the UK by Inspecs (http://www.inspecs.com). You could email them and as them if they have any online stockists.

Superdry frames are exclusive to VE at the moment. You'll struggle to find them elsewhere.
  • Well there's your answer, OP. Either pay VE's enormous prices or wait until their exclusive deal lapses.

Or, you know, buy one of the *virtually identical* frames sold under one of any number of different brands.

  • I had a pair of my frames re-glazed by Glasses Direct after chipping the lenses two months after having them (originally from a high street chain).
They are brilliant to buy from and sell loads of brands which constantly change, might be worth a look if they have similar pairs?
  • i had bought designer eyeglass frame from eyesonking.com. they have a good collection and affordable but no variety at all. so i need to find the cheapest glasses online so that I can buy 2 pairs of glasses, 1 for reading and 1 for distance. can anyone recommend a website that does decent quality specs for a cheap price?

I got mine from selectspecs - they took quite a while to come, but had all the coatings I wanted included in the under £10 cost.
