Miss-sold PPI ???? HELP !!!

Hi guys,
I really hope someone can help here!
Im not sure if anyone has already talked about this but I read the other day that banks were being fined for miss-selling PPI.
Now, I have already started the ball rolling for re-claiming the grossly unfair bank charges that have been put on me in the past few years. However, I would like to know if anyone has or if anyone knows what the procedures would be for perhaps reclaiming mis-sold PPI.
I really believe I was done over on this and as a result the PPI is a hefty sum to pay on top of the loan and if it was looked into probably had a big big impact on the charges I was paying due to the increased monthly payments on the loan if you get me?!?!?!
I really hope someone could advise me on this.
Thanks guys.

Somebody may correct me but I understood the misselling issue to involve people being sold policies they were not covered under, and not the amount they were being charged provided it was suitable cover.0

yes mis-selling is about the cover provided, ie, not being eligible for the insurance in first place - not about how much it costs!
remember costs appear on credit agreements0 -

What makes you think you were 'done'? The cost, the cover provided or something else?0 -
I too, have been shafted by a Bank regarding PPI cover. I've paid over £6,000 so far as was told I couldn't cancel it after 30 days because of BANK policy (even thou a local friend from an independent insurance company could do the same for 90% less than the Bank!!)daiwilliams wrote:Hi guys,

I've since been forced to join a Debt Management Agency because I couldn't afford the loan and the PPI, can't get a loan for 6 years and have a 0 credit rating (can't even rent a flamming new TV!!) My new husband and I earn enough to get a decent mortgage, but CAN'T because of this! We live in Jersey, in the Channel Islands, and can't get a IVA because in Jersey, if you have a local loan, they're not covered by UK law!
I'm at my wits end, but wish you luck in finding the answer!
Kind regards
