The freeware Stellarium is also well worth a look. Will allow you to look around a virtual night sky as it is at that exact moment in time, showing locations of stars, planets, constellations, even satellites (including the International Space Station):

For anyone interested in this sort of thing, check out Google sky maps (free app on google Play store)
You hold your smartphone up and it shows you what stars you are looking at..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!
