Recorded some of the Little Crackers off the anytime plus, watched Kathy Burke and Catherine Tate's so far, Catherine Tate's ws hilarious!

Shopping wise I'm all done apart from the fresh shopping and a final top up being delivered on Monday.

Tonight I've put together a little celebratory hamper for Christmas countdown - basically I wanted to watch Tangled and have some sweets to watch it with, so we all have :rotfl: It's just a selection of sweets with a Christmas mug each, the DVD of Tangled (was a fiver from Amazon last week) and a few sweets each. Have also a massive bag of doritos and a dip so with some posh sandwiches, salad and little buffet bits that's dinner sorted for tonight.

It's my brothers 31st Birthday tomorrow, but unfortunately we can't get to see him due to distance and other responsibilities but he does have our prezzies there so will ring him during the day :D

The rest of the week we don't really have anything special planned...

    Monday: Sorting last minute bits.

Tuesday: busy day at my grandad's (we're his carers) with various appointments all day.

Wednesday: Busy morning as shopping is delivered between 8-10 and Grandad has an appointment at 10(!) Hopefully they'll come early but it was the only slot left when we booked it almost a fortnight ago.

Wednesday afternoon and Thursday: I'm going to be doing the cleaning and clearing the dining table etc. And bathing the parrot and 2 dogs.

Friday: I'm going out early to get the fresh shopping bits (like 5amish) and then we have eyebrow plucking appointments (the glamour :rotfl:) at 9 and then on to get various bits done, a helium balloon filled, get some flowers, liquorice sticks etc

Saturday: Christmas Eve Hampers in the afternoon :D (Can't WAIT!)

Sunday: Get grandad, do the cooking, take grandad home when he wants to go, finally have a drink!

  • I've managed to get some time off, so I am not back until the 28th. Got a really manic week ahead:

Sunday: visiting brother in law and dropping his present off.
    Monday: some last minute things
Tuesday: Sister, youngest niece and nephew pop over until the 2nd.
    Wednesday: Work's lunch, Dad visiting.
Thursday: Probably out with my sister
    Friday: same
Christmas Eve: at home, sorting out Christmas dinner.
  • Just got to get food sorted and get all my washing out the way, then I will feel ready for Xmas day! Can't wait. My dd knows what's all going down for the first year so it's got me with butterflies in my tum!
    1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
    10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
    50p: Christmas presents £3.50
    £2: holidays £2.00

Awwww :) It's my friends first Christmas as a mum - she can't stop grinning broadly, their house is like a grotto and he's only 8 months old, bless!

we're still at work and school until lunchtime on 23rd, which suits me, as I've done all my cards, pressies and decorations.

I'm working all week, but need to finish off hamper stuff, wrap a few presents and go to see Robin Hood at the RSC which ought to be good. I think we'll go and see Arthur Christmas on Xmas Eve in the day as my two will have been in with me most of the week (I work from home) so they'll want to get out. And I probably will too, although not to anywhere with any shops!
  • monday - baby has jabs in the morning, then pick dd up from from nursery and ds1 for dinner. get ds1 changed into party clothes then back to school for his xmas party.

tuesday - take ds to school at 9am then home again, then back again to have dd at nursery for 9.45am  for her xmas party (might have time to have a wee if im lucky, between the school runs )
pick dd up at 11.45, then bus into town to meet up with best friend and swap the kids presents. then the kids break off!

wednesday - same as any other wednesday; go to my nannas with my mum then to morrisons for the weekly shop, which is bound to be manic:( and have dinner in the cafe there.

thursday - a free day today, i may take the kids to a soft play or just stay in watching xmassy films and baking, cant decide yet.

friday - the plan is to get up really early and go shopping for food. im thinking of going about 6am in the hope of avoiding the crowds. this could either be really easy or really stressful, due to waking the kids up early and dragging them around tescos?! suppose i could always treat them to a burger king, it may help matters!
dh breaks off at dinnertime, so plan to be back for then so he can entertain the kids and i can do a good clean up, allowing me a rest off it all for a few days :T:T:T

saturday - mum and stepdad will pop around to drop the presents off and i will do a HUGE buffet which will do dinner and tea (and any leftovers for xmas day night)

somewhere within this i have to do the following
    • try and locate the bottom of the washing basket
    • wrap ds2 last toy
    • wrap gifts for my mum, mil and fil from the kids
    • wrap the last one of dh's gifts
    • make some quiche and sausage rolls
    • buy batteries
    • ensure that i have enough nappies, wipes, baby milk, gas and electric in
