I'd buy a picnic set.0

I have 2 sets of these, you can buy extra chairs and they store away easy. I get 16 around the 2 tables which I put together and use 1 very large table cloth. xx

What about something like this

Only 4 chairs, but room to fit two more (I bet someone would lend you a couple of chairs or even garden chairs)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

If it's something you may not use again, or may not get much use, what about getting a wallpaper pasting table and a nice tablecloth.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Or popping into a local charity shop to see if there's anything there (cheap) that can be donated back after if you don't want it?0

I think this is pretty much what you are looking for, I would quite like one myself.0 -
I know this is probably a bit late, but thought I'd add it as an alternative option ...
I friend of mine had a tiny house and didn't have the space for a full table all the time, although she loved having friends round, so she came up with the ingenious idea of buying two plain doors and hingeing them together so that they opened out flat; she would then lie them on top of her small table and - voila, a table for 8 ! She covered it with a large white tablecloth (made from sheets) and no-one ever knew. When not in use, it was folded up and stored under her bed. She had 4 chairs for the small table and then used fold up ones, and a couple of stools.
Just in case anyone doesn't fancy paying out for a new table.0 -
What about some plastic garden tables and chairs? Put a WANTED post on Freecycle or even try Argos or B&Q I bet their going cheap right now
I bought a small wooden table and 4 chairs from HomeBase in the autum sales its ample for me and DH in our conservatry but when we entertain it opens out to seat 6 - 8 people!Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!
