Poor you! I had a boil thingy on my actual eyelid a couple of weeks ago, it resolved itself and then cleared up quite quickly, but it looked horrendous at the time.
I notice you are treating it with cold, however, have a look at the advice on NHS Direct ...........you may resolve it quicker treating it with warmth.0 -

I used to get these a lot as a kid
Sty's and cysts in my eyelid. They don't look good, do they. I seem to remember getting some cream from the doctor for them. 0 -
Please make an appointment and go and see your doctor.
An infection in this area for this long is not a good or normal thing. A sty would normally resolve itself in a few days.
When I was 14, I had what started out as a small spot just by my right eye.
It gradually got worse and worse, and I ended up as an emergency admission to hospital with septecaemia. This is particularly serious when the infection is in the triangular area of the face, as the blood drainage from this area goes through the brain before going back towards the heart, making it particularly nasty.
I only realised how serious this was when I became a dental student a few years later. I asked my Mum, and she confirmed there was a time when they thought I might not survive! I always wondered why some of my schoolfriends were surprised to see me back at school again!
So - in short, if this doesn't seem to be getting better, DON'T MUCK ABOUT. Certainly don't start doing things with warm spoons (Warmth generally makes infection worse not better anyway). Get an urgent appointment with your Dr and get it seen to.How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Something being recommended at a proper clinic where someone can be seen and assessed and diagnosed is one thing. Something being blindly recommended on an internet forum is quite another, and why 'medical advice' isn't allowed on here. How to find a dentist.

Just to make it clear from a personal point of view in case your post was referring to me......
OP referred to a new stye which has just appeared on her right eye and my post linked her specifically to the advice on the NHS Direct website.
I don't want it to be considered that I "blindly" advise anyone on their medical conditions; it is not something I do.0 -
As others have said, get to the docs.
No-one should mess about with their eyes...this comes from personal experience.
My son used to have blepharitis which used to cause him to have regular bouts of pink eye.
One time he had another dose of it and even though his GP and opthamologist told me to get a GP appointment every time it reared up, I thought better of it.
The pink eye was actually a corneal ulcer which left scarring, and he is now blind in that eye - he will have to have a transplant when he's older.
So please, anyone reading this...if you get an eye problem, no matter how trivial you think it is, get it sorted by a professional.Stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage.0
