IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?

Not a use for the whole tin, but a splash of beer in the pan when frying mushrooms can give them a lovely flavour.0

Use it to make batter for fish - absolutely delish.
..or as a slug trap to defend the lettuces...
...or make "student punch" (anything alchoholic mixed together with some lemonade) - it's atrocious for the first glass or two, but after that there is a numbing of the senses and it's absolutely fine.....
...or mix with any red meat dish for some added flavour...
....or throw the contents and use the can to fix a hole in the car's exhaust pipe....
Have done all of the above with good results (except in the case of the "student punch", I don't think I've ever been the same since:eek: )

You could indeed use it in cooking.
Don't trouble yourself with the bacteria. As it is your BF, I assume you have already shared a few:DI lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -

It's like cheese on toast, and very yummy. This recipe uses 150ml/5fl oz brown ale, but any type of beer will do!
