Where can I get free holly sprigs

Hi
I'm wanting some holly sprigs to decorate my home. I don't want to do anything illegal to get it but am I allowed to pick it from bushes on the road side, or not.

I can't see that many people would complain about a little selective "pruning"

To be honest, I've got a big bush in my front garden and as long as people asked I wouldn't mind them taking some so I really can't see the problem with taking it from the roadside.

I found this on rules on protected flowers and might help:)

I suppose you only wish to pick folliage.
