Bu**er! Don't live or know annyone who lives in W Sussex & with a first Spud on the way I could really make use of these, especially as my local council (Elmbridge) don't do anything to promote reusable nappies.

If there is any kind soul out there in the right area who won't be using their allocation & would be willing to let me use their address for delivery I would be very very pleased to hear from you? I will refund any costs involved in posting them onto me etc.

    Thanks.

i was going to say the same lillibet lol! looks like you need the person applying to use their own baby's details, so they need a baby under 4 months old. i wish my council would do this - it must be cheaper for them than disposing of 3 years worth of disposables?!

Lillibet & Jelly have you tried phoning your Council and asking them if they offer any incentives to parents who use re-useable nappies? I was very pleasantly suprised to find that my local council will give you £25.00 back towards the cost of re-useables when you spend over £50.00. This is a new thing that they are doing, so it might be worth giving your council a call.

hi, i got in touch with my council and they sent printouts of advice about using real nappies (printed from the nappylady website). there's an incentive scheme of £10 cashback up to 3 times but the form doesn't let you register your interest until your baby is born by which time you've already bought your nappies, there's no mention of keeping receipts or if you have to use certain stores etc.

the council also sent a form that's been written with lots of councils in mind, it is supposed to tell you more info about their incentive schemes, nappy lending etc. and places to buy but the person in charge of the scheme doesn't even appear to have read it, she certainly didn't think it necessary to insert anything in the places where it says in bold <<insert details of local area here>> so i very much doubt she knows anything about real nappies in my area ... i've heard of other councils having nappies for loan or for demonstration etc. and making a real effort, shame mine doesn't.

oddly our local mothercare stocks nappy buckets, staff say they've never sold one!
