I'm so angry!!!

I contacted a few buyers asking for feedback since I'd left them some ( i think it's only fair) Well ,this a.m. I received a message from a buyer and the language he used brought tears to my eyes! It was fowl and uncalled for... What can i do I'm so angry you've no idea!!!!! This guy is a regular seller on ebay and has 100% feedback..
ps it has nothing to do with the item I sold him, in fact he got a bargain but why has he done this?

A lot of people get offended if you ask for feedback and quite a few leave negative just to be spiteful. Report the individual to ebay and they will give you some help if you can provide all the info they need (just make sure you don't delete the email you received until ebay settle it).

We have to remember feedback is optional so its not the end of the world. However your best as a seller to respond to feedback one the buyer has left you some. Your right its not fair that they don't leave any back for you. I always see feedback as optional until a buyer leaves me feedback and then I will leave them some too.

I hope you won't be offended by this, as I do think it was well out of order for him to give you such abuse, and as such you might be able to report him to eBay, however, I also feel that writing to people to ask them to leave you feedback is also rude and can understand why some people might be upset by it.

Feeedback is voluntary, not something that should be expected or demanded. You should also take into consideration the fact that you might not want to get the feedback that some people might end up giving you.

Again, I hope what I have said doesn't offend because I know how nasty it can be when you get such e-mails.

It can be very frustrating not having feedback returned and I have in the past written to remind them but at the end of the day it is voluntary. Also, busy sellers may have other things on the plate and not have time to return feedback quickly. Often they may return all feedback in one go at the end of the month. Some buyers may seldom use ebay and so forget to leave feedback at all.

I wouldn't let it get to you as most people will return feedback

I don't see the problem with ASKING for feedback if a significant time has elapsed. I sell quite a few things and sometimes forget to leave feedback. If a buyer politely emails me reminding me to leave feedback then he in turn will get a polite email back apologising and advising him that i would leave relevant feedback immediately.

Out of order him sending abuse to you .

I don't agree with contacting buyers asking them to leave feedback. As others have said it is optional. However, I think that the kind of reply you received from the buyer was totally uncalled for. I know it's upsetting but try not to take it to heart.

Completely agree, it doesn't bother me in the slightest if someone asks for feedback, I don't understand why it is a problem. I have never asked to be left feedback and always try to leave it as soon as the buyer has left a positive to say that everything is ok. Quite a few buyers have emailed me as soon as they have left feedback to ask if I would return the positive feedback and I don't mind at all.

I'm sorry but anyone asking me for feedback is unlikely to get any. However, there is no need for any user to be abusive and it is worth reporting.

Im with soolin on this one.
I think its rude to ask/demand feedback and would probably ignore anyone who did it to me.
I would report the abuse to ebay as there was no need for it.
A polite 'get lost you cheeky bu@@er !' would have sufficed ! :rotfl:

As a seller I still think the best bet is to let the buyer leave feedback first. And as a buyer i'm more than happy to leave feedback first. Seems logical to me. And if people don't leave any then so be it.
