M & S Vouchers

Hello,

Apologies if not in correct section.

I am about to receive £200 in vouchers (gift card probably) and wondered does anyone know if you can use them to get Euros as I know some M & S branches have currency counters.

My plan was to cash in for Euros and then convert back to Sterling somewhere else and then use at a more reasonably priced clothes shop, ala Primark, supermarkets etc.

Is it possible or is it actually considered illegal?

Thank you.
Ross

  • Why don't you phone M&S and find out if their gift cards can be used to purchase Euros? You don't have to tell them what you intend doing with them.

What can I buy with my Gift Card?

Gift Cards can be used for most purchases. Gift Cards cannot be used to pay for M&S Money Services, M&S Money Products, M&S Energy or oustanding M&S credit card, and &More Chargecard balances. They are not accepted for Made to Measure Shirts or large appliances.

    Hi,

The terms and condition on vouchers or gift cards state they cannot be redeemed for cash or any other financial service.
This is the usual terms for any voucher for any shop.
Just to let you know I also work in M&S and they will definitely not do that. I wish you could though.

As others have said you won't be able to do that but you can use the giftcard online (where you get far more bargains than instore). They do lots of deals (including a deal of the day each day) across all their sections.

Or else use it instore in the foodhall for 20 x £10 meal deals over the next year :T

    I've been Money Tipped!
Try selling the vouchers, M&S vouchers (cards) are very popular and would be great for the sales.
Ebay is an obvious choice, though the fees are rising. Probably not much difference though on what you were planning to do.
I would imagine you would get £160'ish (maybe a tad less) for them with ebay/paypal fees off.
Selling them to a friend would be a better safer option.
