Anyone elses Sainsburys shop been cancelled today?

Just had a phonecall from Sainsburys, apparently my shopping wont be delivered tonight due to a computer hitch that is affecting them countrywide.

No sainsburys deliveries are going to be made.

Anyone else had the call, or are they feeding me a line?

There is another thread somewhere (sorry read it earlier and cant remember where). They have the same problem of no delivery, something to do with Sainsburys have a system failure across the board.

I have had my delivery cancelled for today, they left a message to re-order and book a new delivery as there has been a system breakdown and are going to email a voucher code for £10 off next order.

Yes it does. As it was I had to drag a 3yo and a 6yo round Morrisons to get the shopping.

And don`t get me started on Sainsburys delivery service in general. Last year my shopping was cancelled because, despite having 2 stores within 1.5 miles of my house, Sainsburys choose to fulfill my order from a store 7 miles away where it was snowing...

That is how they work sometimes, I can see a huge Tesco Extra from my house but if I want it delivered it comes from a smaller store with a much reduced range 10 miles away. The plus side is that when shopping I am not tripping over the home shopping pickers unlike in my local Asda.
  • Maybe part of the same issue but my Christmas delivery order vanished just now............

Spent ages waiting on the phone to speak to someone and she was finally able to find it floating around in cyber space and put it back through again.......or so she said!! ;)
