in Cutting tax
I have today received a statement from Inland Revenue and advising I owe them £90.00 and advise an underpayment of £201.84 from previous years. When I phoned the tax office they advise was due to an underpayment for that amount for 2007/8. Thankfully I keep all records and was able to advise this was paid and gave them the cheque no. Also checked and amount shown on my bank statement.
They are going to investigate but it is important never take their figures as being correct.
