Last year my partner and I looked into re mortgaging to pay off credit card and other debts. In the end, I was made redundant, so we ended up taking out a DMP instead.
We went with an independent mortgage advisor, who charged a £99 'Application Fee'. The mortgage offer was from C & G, but in the end their valuation didn't achieve what we thought it would and the LTV (?) was insufficient to proceed.
Do we have a chance of getting the application fee back from the advisor?

This sounds like C&G's application fee, not the adviser's.
