mortgage advice

I have a mortgage through Future Mortgages which i know do not have a good reputation at all. I am on a fixed rate until September 2012, at which point i am very concerned about what kind of rates i will be paying to them. I had to take this mortgate out because i had to take an IVA in 2006. This is now successfully completed in April 2011. I would like advice on, will i at any point be able to change to a normal lender or will i never be considered because the IVA is on my record, or am i stuck with a lender who may well put my payments up to a point i cannot afford them? (i have not defaulted on 1 payment in 6 years of having a mortgage with them)

Some lenders - eg nationwide and Halifax as well as some smaller lenders will consider you after you have been out of the IVA for 12 months.
Check carefully waht rate Future will charge you next year, as if you have had it for a few years you may be going onto Libor + ~2% which would mean you would only be paying between 2.5-3%, which will be less than remortgaging elsewhere.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
