Aldi & Lidl usually sell mixed bags of nuts this time of year. Not seen any offers mentioned recently though.0

for us it works out best to buy individual bags of what we like and make our own mixture.
we get peanuts and cashews from Tesco's, walnuts from Lidl, dried fruit from Asda, pistachios from Aldi and so on0 -

Harry Hill nuts in Tesco only 1p - salted and cashews - they are on clipstrips usually in the crisp/nut section0 -

Pre-shelled taste very different.
Money saving tip - don't pay extra for glossy Californian walnuts. The apparently misshapen varieties from France, or even China, taste infinitely better!0 -
If you are after shelled nuts, I found MrT loose ones were the cheapest per 100g compared to the other supermarkets.
But when I got them they only had hazelnuts and Almonds in the box (which was perfect as I like hazelnuts and DS likes almonds and we rarely eat any others!!)We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
On a slightly off topic note, Randm, I got my hazelnuts from Sainsbury this year. March,Cambs.
BUT I didn't buy them. The local store has hazel trees planted all round the car park, just a case of sweeping them up after a gale.
Buckets full, small but very tasty.
p.s. I wonder if all Sains car parks have these. daft tree to plant if you think about it.0 -
Not on the website as far as I know but in the ethnic/speciality aisle at my tesco superstore I found whole almonds 800g for £5.99
Not seen them under 75p per 100g anywhere else!0
