    The company that sent the details round claimed to be specialising in refunds for teachers and had all the info. So it would take one phone call to them as opposed to three.
    I think we need financial education for teachers before it can be taught in schools or it will be a complete waste of time.

    I would imagine if it's taught in secondary schools it would be taught by people who have the financial knowledge.

    Ah, but it was useful if it stops others making the same mistake you did. As for not having to pay them, your stroppy attitude makes me think that some people may wish to scam the claims company who have maintained their side of the bargain by not paying ... not you, of course!

    I have no idea why a union would suggest using a non-qualified adviser. I would suggest complaining to the union.
